The success of Lions Quest depends on Lions volunteers who actively champion the program in their communities. These resources are designed to equip Lion members with the tools needed to confidently engage fellow Lions, educators, school leaders, parents, and community or government stakeholders.
Lion members play a vital role in the growth of Lions Quest by supporting local funding, coordinating teacher training, co-hosting parent meetings, interacting with students, and partnering with schools on service-learning projects.
- Create a learning community grounded in caring relationships, high expectations, and meaningful involvement

- Strengthen commitment to family, positive peers, school, and community
- Provide opportunities to practice active and responsible citizenship
A Partnership with the Community
In Skills for Growing (SFG) and Skills for Adolescence (SFA), learning extends beyond the classroom through service-learning. Students identify real needs in their school or community and plan and implement projects to address them—applying SEL skills such as empathy, teamwork, leadership, and decision-making. Lions Clubs can support or collaborate with schools by involving students in club service activities or assisting with school-led projects. 26th August to 1st September
Celebrating SEL Week with Lions Quest
Lions Quest in India Foundation (LQIF) celebrates SEL Week each year with schools, students, teachers, parents, communities, Lions and Leos across India. The week begins on 26th August, marking the birth anniversary of PIP Rohit Mehta, who played a pivotal role in introducing Lions Quest in India.
During this week, Lions actively promote awareness about the importance of SEL skills for children and adults through meaningful, hands-on activities. Celebrated at the start of the Lions Year, SEL Week encourages widespread participation and community engagement. Each year, LQIF curates unique, fun, and impactful SEL-based activities, enabling participants to experience the positive impact of the Lions Quest program.
