Lions Quest – Building Stronger Futures for Children
For over 40 years, Lions have been committed to guiding children toward positive growth and lifelong success. Lions Quest programs for Grades 1–8 use a structured, evidence-based Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum to promote character education, bullying and drug prevention, and service-learning.
Delivered through comprehensive classroom lesson plans, Lions Quest is proven to work—helping young people become better students, confident decision-makers, and responsible citizens, prepared to contribute positively to their communities.
The Role of Lions in Program Success
- Lions Quest thrives through the dedication of Lion members, who promote and champion the program within their communities.
- The program provides resources and tools to help Lions engage a wide range of stakeholders—educators, administrators, community leaders, and government officials.
Simple Steps to Adopt Lions Quest in Educational Institutions
- Spread Awareness
- Conduct awareness sessions for schools, educational institutes, clubs, or community groups.
- Lions Quest brochures are available for download in English, Gujarati, Hindi, and Marathi.
- Teachers Training Workshop (TTW)
- Schools, organisations, or individuals interested in supporting SEL development for students must enroll to train the required number of teachers for Grades 1–8 or themselves.
- Lions Clubs can support by coordinating and organising the workshop.
- A Guide to Organize TTW is available for download.
- After the TTW, LQIF provides free Online Implementation Support session to trained teachers guiding them with the Lions Quest curriculum execution.
- Plan the Implementation
- Only certified trained teachers should implement the program.
- Schools should allocate 28–36 periods of 40 minutes each per academic year for SEL sessions for all grades.
- Students use grade-wise Student Journals during implementation.
- Positive Parent Involvement
- Parental engagement is a key strength of the Lions Quest program.
- The Family Connection is an activity book for families. After each classroom session, students get an assignment in it to practice the learned skill with family members—strengthening SEL skills and family bonds.
- Parents are also invited to special sessions on positive parenting.
- Evaluation
- Student growth is measured through Pre and Post Evaluation Assessments.
- These assessments help quantify the program’s impact.
- Plan for New Year:
- Annual refresher training is recommended to strengthen teaching quality and reinforce effective SEL instruction.
- Order for students’ journals before the start of next academic year for continuity of the program and long term impact.
